Taiwan Commate Computer Inc. (Commell) has added another model to its growing line of mini-ITX embedded motherboards. The company claims that the LV-675 is the first mini-ITX board to support Pentium M and Celeron M processors with a 533 MHz front side bus (FSB). It comes with drivers for embedded Linux.

Commell says the LV-675's 533 MHz FSB provides 33 percent more bandwidth than its previous generation Pentium M platform. The board supports processor speeds up to 2.26 GHz, and onboard memory up to 1 GB of DDR 200/266/333 SDRAM. A 32-bit PCI connector supports two bus masters through a "riser" card. Additional expansion is available via two mini-PCI slots.

Commell lists the following key features and specifications for the LV-675:

Processor -- micro-FCPGA 478 Mobile Intel Pentium M or Celeron M, clocked at up to 2.26 GHz; supports 400 or 533 MHz FSB
Memory -- 184-pin DIMM socket; supports up to 1 GB DDR SDRAM
Display:
- Intel Extreme Graphics; up to 64 MB video memory shared with system
- VGA output
- S-video and composite TV out (NTSC and PAL)
- Optional dual channel 18/24-bit LVDS or DVI interface
Audio -- Reaktek ACL655 AC97 3D audio codec
- 5.1 channel
- line in, line out, mic in, CD in and S/P DIF interface
Storage -- PCI Enhanced IDE
- 40-pin UltraATA/100 bus master
- 44-pin IDE connector
- Supports DiskOnChip
Expansion:
- 32-bit PCI connector
- 2 x mini-PCI slots
Input/output ports:
- Intel 82541PI Gigabit Ethernet
- 4 x USB 2.0
- IEEE 1394
- IrDA
- 2 x serial -- 1 RS232, 1 RS-232/422/485
- Printer
- PS/2 keyboard and mouse
- 8-bit digital GPIO

Commell supplies several mini-PCI boards that can be plugged into the LV-675, including:

801.11b/g wireless
IEEE 1394
Video capture
Gigabit Ethernet
Dual Gigabit Ethernet

According to Commell, the LV-675 is aimed at low cost, low power, high performance applications such as gaming, kiosk and media centers, surveillance, POS, and ATMs. In addition to Linux, the board also supports Windows XP and Windows XP Embedded.
