Seven embedded software and hardware companies are co-sponsoring a series of one-day technical seminars aimed at network equipment providers (NEPs). The seminars will showcase open architecture products and technology, and highlight system architecture, hardware, software, integration, and development practices, all "without any marketing fluff and targeted to developers and engineers."
The series will be held in the U.S., Canada, Sweden, Germany, and Japan, and is sponsored by Avnet, Data Connection, Enea, Intel, Kontron, MontaVista, and S3.
According to a statement released by the group, the "application acceleration development seminars" will focus on "all aspects of platform design and integration," including hardware such as microprocessors, DSPs, blades, and shelves, and software such as operating systems, protocols, middleware, and databases. "Expert" presenter will focus on a unique aspect of telecom platform design, integration, and application development process.
