A series of one-day conferences on embedded systems and real-time computing will be held during the next three months in cities around the US and Italy. The Real-Time and Embedded Computing Conference (RTECC) events will include embedded Linux sessions and demonstrations.

The RTECC events target developers working in data communication and telephony, military and aerospace, industrial control, instrumentation, consumer electronics, image processing, process control, medical instrumentation, vehicular control and maintenance, and embedded appliances.

Several RTECC events have already taken place this year, including one in Santa Clara yesterday, at which OSDL evangelist Bill Weinberg spoke.

According to RTECC organizers, the events bring together the latest technologies and products for software and hardware engineers, design and production engineers, researchers, electrical and electronic engineers, and directors and managers of engineering. The events feature 45-minute open-door sessions, along with tabletop demonstrations from companies that include Wind River, Intel, LynuxWorks, MontaVista, SBS Technologies, and Mercury Computer Systems.

Phoenix, AZ -- February 17, 2005
Boulder, CO -- March 1, 2005
Salt Lake City, UT -- March 3, 2005
Huntsville, AL -- March 15, 2005
Milan, Italy -- 15 March 2005
Melbourne, FL -- March 17, 2005
Rome, Italy -- 17 March 2005
Minneapolis, MN -- April 5, 2005
Chicago, Illinois -- April 7, 2005
