 FSMLabs has hired Dr. C. Douglass Locke to help expand its presence in the aerospace and defense (A&D) market. The former Lockheed-Martin Chief Scientist and former TimeSys VP of Technology will serve as consulting engineer, while his consulting company will join FSMLabs's third-party integrator network.
FSMLabs says it hopes Dr. Locke and his consulting firm can help it "further expand" its penetration into the A&D market. It says its current A&D design wins include flight and weapons simulation, jet engine testing, robotics, and software-defined radios, while its current A&D customers include Harris, Lockheed Martin, NASA, Pratt & Whitney, and Sandia National Labs.
Dr. Locke's A&D industry experience encompasses space (both ground-based and flight), aircraft, shipboard, submarine, command & control, and information systems, including SBIRS, SBIS, Air Traffic Control, GPS, various avionics systems, CCTT, LAMPS, and AWACS.
FSMLabs CEO Victor Yodaiken stated, "Doug brings both engineering and organizational expertise at a very high level. Both his extensive real-time architecture and development engineering background and his ongoing consulting practice broaden and deepen our ability to address the requirements of customers building demanding aerospace and communications applications."
Dr. Locke stated, "FSMLabs products provide a unique combination of hard real-time, wide hardware support, and enterprise-level software and software development environments that can accelerate many critical projects."
