SDG Systems, LLC (Cranberry Twp, PA) announced today that it is now selling G.MATE's Yopy YP-3500 and YP-3700 Linux PDAs. The company said it will sell the Yopy PDA and provide technical and warranty support.

"The Yopy PDA is a great option for those requiring a highly-portable Linux platform that supports the X Window System and GTK," said Todd Blumer of SDG. "The Yopy PDA includes PIM applications, Yopy Office for documents and spreadsheets, a voice recorder, MP3 player, and several other applications and games. On the hardware side, the built-in QWERTY keyboard provides flexibility for data entry and application selection. The 'clam-shell' design protects the screen from scratches and breakage. Wireless LAN options (YP-3700) provide access to email and web browsing." Currently, Prism 2 wireless CompactFlash devices are supported. Blumer said SDG is currently accepting pre-orders on its website, and expects to deliver units by the end of July, 2003. The YP-3500 is priced at $449, and the YP-3700, which includes a Type II CompactFlash slot, is priced at $499. Both Yopy models include a one-year warranty from G.MATE, he added.
