Axiomtek's latest SBC is a very expandable 3.5-inch form-factor board with an ultralow-power Intel Celeron M processor for fanless applications. The SBC84810's capable complement of I/O includes four USB 2.0 ports, two or four COM ports, and one or two LAN ports. High-resolution display capabilities and AC'97 audio are also built-in.

With a choice of a 600 MHz or 1 GHz Celeron M, the compact (146 x 104 mm) SBC accommodates up to 1 GB of socketed memory and contains a Type II CompactFlash socket. Fast Ethernet is standard; gigabit Ethernet is optional. The SBC manages graphics output to a CRT or LCD monitor: the former, at up to 2548 x 1536 pixel resolution; the latter, at up to 1600 x 1200. The LVDS interface to the LCD can handle 18 or 32 bits of data; a second LVDS interface with a 48-bit capability is optional.

The remaining peripherals, ports, and controllers of the SBC84810 include serial, mouse, keyboard, IDE drive, floppy drive and printer interfaces. Other options include a Type III Mini PCI expansion socket.

Axiomtek's 3.5-inch form-factor "Capa" SBCs support embedded Linux, among other popular embedded operating systems.
