SourcePoint IDE

SourcePoint IDE (Integrated Development Environment) now complements our premier SourcePoint debugger. SourcePoint IDE is American Arium's latest offering for embedded code development. One of the most comprehensive and flexible code editors available today, SourcePoint IDE is powered by Visual SlickEdit. Available as an add-on with Arium's Sourcepoint debugging interface, it seamlessly integrates into your development environment to let you edit your code "on the fly."

The software incorporates other best-of-breed functionality as well, including address translation, dynamic page translation, multiple code formats, and a self-diagnostic test suite. It operates in multi-processor and multi-cluster environments.

American Arium also offers HDL-assisted debug with SourcePoint-Codesign co-development software. Using this tool, developers can start hardware-dependent software code and debug before hardware is ready, thus shortening time-to-market.

Linux debug using SourcePoint

SourcePoint is the first debugger for Linux that seamlessly debugs both the kernel and processes and their interactions with one set of tools. Users can directly launch from or attach to any task from the debugger interface. Processes and their states are visible in a single table; users can access associated source code simply by clicking on a listed process.

Visibility is immediate from bring-up or reset. A console window is available through the JTAG. No more waiting until a serial or ethernet port is "live." No more waiting for the kernel and console drivers to come up. No more waiting, period.
